Linear Scale Assembly Replacement

Prerequisites

Overview

This procedure is for the Global PET/CT Table, with fixed position IMS and GT1700V Table.

Procedure

  1. Raise the Table to maximum height.
  2. Move the Cradle to OUT limit position.
  3. Remove power from Table by turning off 120VAC, Axial Drive and HVDC switches on Service Switch Panel.
  4. Remove the following Table covers and component:

    • Cradle

    • Top Cover (Right/Left)

    • Rear Top Cover

    • Rail Cover (Right/Left)

    • Rear Top Plate

    • Linear Scale Cover

  5. Cut any tie-wraps, and remove all cable clamps holding the linear scale cable to the Table.
  6. Unscrew 2 screws holding the sensor to the bracket on the cradle carriage.
  7. Unscrew 2 screws holding the linear scale to the Table frame.

  8. Remove 2 support bracket (holding the cable guide to the Table frame) by unscrewing 2 (x2) screws, and remove the linear scale assy from the Table.

  9. Install the new Linear Scale Assy by referring to Step 8 through Step 5.

    Position the new Linear Scale Assy using the thickness gauge, and verify that the position of the sensor is the following:

Finalization

  1. Re-install the cradle.
  2. Power up the Table from the Service Switch Panel.
  3. Verify that the cradle IN/OUT function is operating normally.
  4. Turn off all 3 switches (Axial Drive, HVDC, 120VAC), and re-install the Table covers.
