Cradle Replacement

Prerequisites

Procedure

    • Understand and follow the Safety Guidelines Manual.
  1. Move the cradle OUT to its fully retracted position (farthest from Gantry).
  2. Raise the Table to its highest position.
  3. Remove power from Table by turning off “120VAC”, “Axial Drive” and “HVDC” switches on the service switch panel.
  4. Remove the six Allen screws from the cradle end, and then slide out the cradle.

  5. Remove the handle from the cradle assembly.

    • Potential injury to service persons!
    • Understand and follow the Safety Guidelines. The injury risk from removing and installing the heavy table cradle MUST be minimized by two engineers to safely complete these tasks.
  6. Install the handle to the new cradle.
  7. Install the cradle assembly to the table.

Finalization

  1. After installing the new cradle, perform the following adjustment according to Align, Setup, Cals -> Table.

    • GAP BETWEEN CRADLE AND CRADLE SUPPORT

  2. Perform System Scanning Test from the Functional Checks menu of the service manual to ensure system operation.
