Liquid Bearing Tube Safety

1 General

This document describes safety information about Liquid Bearing system for Service.

2 Service Electrical Safety

HVDC (670VDC) comes ON and continues ON from the 1st. exposure during Tube Warm-Up, FastCal, Image Scans or Service Tools. Also continuously ON until 5 minutes past System Shutdown and X-Ray rotor continues rotating at low speed if rotor was on at time of shutdown.

Once the HVDC becomes ON, it stays ON until system shutdown or rotor stop operations performed by service engineer. Turn off HVDC at the Service Switch panel when servicing the Power pan, Slip Ring or Jedi-HP subsystem.

3 Mechanical Safety

The Gantry will rotate immediately when system begins shutdown or reboot, this rotation lasts about 5 minutes.

4 Tube Identifier

The label “Liquid Bearing X-ray Tube Installed.” is attached on Gantry Service Switch panel if the system uses Liquid Bearing Tube.
