No personnel or patients should be in the area of the gantry while scanning without adequate radiation safety precautions being utilized.

Overview

Tube warm-up heats the tube to a safe operating point for patient scanning.

Procedure

Move table to longitudinal home position.
Click DAILY PREP.
Click TUBE WARMUP.
Click ACCEPT & RUN TUBE WARMUP in Warning window.

note: If Attention window is displayed, click OK.
Press START on SCIM/GSCB when it flashes.
Click QUIT in Daily Preparation window.
