PDAS Power Supply Replacement

Prerequisites

Overview

1 Power Supply Removal

Procedure

    • Follow ALL Electro-Static Discharge procedures. Always use ESD Wrist Strap and grounding cords. The use of a ground Monitor is suggested.
  1. Position the table to its lowest position.
  2. Remove the gantry right side cover.

    Refer to Parts Replacement > Gantry > Enclosure > Cover Removal.

    • Always turn OFF the HVDC before the 120 VAC. Turning OFF 120 VAC power before HVDC power can result in equipment damage.
  3. Turn OFF Axial Enable, HVDC, and 120VAC switches on the Service Switch panel.
  4. Remove the gantry top and front covers.
  5. Position the DAS at the 12 o'clock position.
  6. Lock the gantry in position using the rotational lock.
  7. Disconnect all cables connectors on the fuse board and power supplier.
  8. Remove 6 x M8 hex screws on power supplier.

  9. Pull the power supplier by the handle and put on an ESD pad.

2 Power Supplier Installation

Procedure

  1. Get new power supplier and slide into place.
  2. Secure power supplier by using 6 x M8 screws. (Torque: 19.2 N.m)
  3. Reconnect all cables connectors on the fuse board and power supplier.
  4. Disengage the rotational lock.
  5. Turn on Axial Enable, HVDC, and 120VAC switches.
