Inverter Gate Command Test (Pro, RT, VCT)

Prerequisites

Overview

The objective of this procedure is to verify that the HV power inverter drive is working properly. No X-Ray is generated in this test. A summary of the procedure follows:

  • Disable HVDC

  • Launch diagnostic tool

  • Run "exposure"

  • Observe results

Procedure

  1. Remove gantry right side cover.
  2. Disable HVDC using service switch panel HVDC Enable switch.
  3. Launch the GENERATOR TOOL.
  4. Launch the Gate Command Test tool.
  5. Run the diagnostic. No X-Ray will actually be generated.

Finalization

  1. If this test fails, your system has an inverter problem.
  2. If the test passes, the sequence normally dictates that you will move to the Shorted Inverter Test.
