Heat Exchanger Filter Replacement

Prerequisites

Overview

This procedure shows how to replace the filter.

Procedure

    • warning
    • Potential for Shock.
    • Voltage may be present.
    • Use proper lockout/tagout procedures before replacing components.
  1. Remove power to the gantry using proper Lockout / Tagout procedures.
  2. Remove side, top, and front gantry covers.
  3. Turn off all three service switches on the Service Switch Panel (AXIAL DRIVE ENABLE, HVDC ENABLE, 120VAC).
  4. Rotate gantry so that Heat Exchanger is at the 2 O'Clock position (tube at or just below 3 o'clock).
  5. Remove the screws holding the filter in place. (See Figure 1.)

  6. Replace Filter. Be sure the lower edge of the filter engages the tabs on the heat exchanger frame.
    note:

    The filter can be cleaned with a vacuum, if it is not excessively soiled.
