Gantry Rotation Interference Touch Strip Replace

Prerequisites

Overview

This procedure describes the replacement of the Gantry Rotation Interference Touch Strip.

Procedure

  1. Remove the following gantry covers:

    • Gantry side covers

    • Gantry top covers

    • Gantry front cover

    2. Notice Image
    • notice
    • Always turn OFF the HVDC before the 120 VAC. Turning OFF 120 VAC power before HVDC power can result in equipment damage.
  2. Turn OFF all 3 switches (Axial Drive, HVDC, 120VAC).
  3. Disconnect touch strip cable.
  4. Remove gantry rotation touch strip.

  5. Install new gantry rotation touch strip.

Finalization

  1. Reinstall removed gantry covers.
  2. Ensure that all top cover connections are reconnected.
  3. Ensure that no cables are left in the rotating path.
  4. Return dollies to storage area.
