Switch Hub Replacement

1 Removal Procedure

Procedure

  1. Select one of the following methods to Power OFF the Operator Console:
    1. If Applications are up, click on the Shut Down button and select Shutdown.

      The Operator Console monitor will display a 'Power Down' message when it is acceptable to power OFF the Operator Console.

    2. If Applications are down, open a Unix Shell. Type: halt.
  2. Power OFF the console at the front panel switch.

  3. Remove the left side cover.

    Refer to Replacement > Console > (Console Cover Removal and Installation Procedure).

  4. Disconnect all cable connectors from the Switch Hub.

  5. Remove four screws from switch hub as below illustration, and remove the switch hub.

2 Installation Procedure

Procedure

  1. Install the new switch hub using 4 screws.
  2. Re-Connect all cable connectors to the switch hub.

3 Finalization

Re-Install the console side cover.
