Real-In-One Console Power Switch Replacement

Prerequisites

1 Removal Procedure

Procedure

  1. Select one of the following methods to Power OFF the Operator Console:
    1. If Applications are up, click on the Shut Down button and select Shutdown.

      The Operator Console monitor will display a 'Power Down' message when it is acceptable to power OFF the Operator Console.

    2. If Applications are down, open a Unix Shell. Type: halt.
  2. Power OFF the console at the front panel switch.
  3. Remove the top and front covers.

    Refer to Replacement > Console > (Console Cover Removal and Installation Procedure).

  4. Remove four screws that hold the power switch assembly to the console chassis.

  5. Disconnect all cables from back of the power switch assembly, and remove the power switch assembly.

2 Installation Procedure

Procedure

  1. Reconnect all cables to a new power switch assembly.
  2. Install the new power switch assembly using the four screws.
  3. Power ON the Operator Console Switch at the console front panel.
  4. Verify that power is restored to all the console components.
  5. Remove console power.

3 Finalization

Procedure

  1. Re-Install the top and front cover.
