Hydraulic High Pressure Hose Replacement

Prerequisites

Overview

Procedure

  1. Raise the Table to maximum height.
  2. Perform this step if applicable:

(For Global PET/CT Table, with fixed position IMS) Move the Cradle to OUT limit position.

(For Global PET/CT Table) Move the Cradle and IMS to OUT limit position.

(For GT1700 and GT2000 Table) Move the Cradle and IMS to OUT limit position.

(For GT1700V Table) Move the Cradle to OUT limit position.

  3. Remove power from Table by turning off 120VAC, Axial Drive and HVDC switches on Service Switch Panel.
  4. Remove the following Table components and covers:
    • IMS Rear Cover

    • IMS Side Cover (Right/Left)

    • Front/Rear Side Plate (Right/Left)

    • Front/Rear Leg Plate (Right/Left)

  5. Attach the Table Support Tool as follows:
    1. Perform this step if applicable:

(For GT1700 and GT2000 Table) Skip this step.

(For GT1700V Table) Skip this step.

(For Global PET/CT Table and Global PET/CT Table, with fixed position IMS) Release Transporter and manually push up against the rear Hard Stop.

Figure 2. Table Pushed Against Hard Stop (Global PET/CT Table)

      • warning
      • crash hazard!
      • The Table is very heavy and can move if The Global PET/CT Table transporter is not secured!
      • The transporter must be secured from moving before attaching the table support tool.
    2. Perform this step if applicable:

(For GT1700 and GT2000 Table) Skip this step.

(For GT1700V Table) Skip this step.

(For Global PET/CT Table and Global PET/CT Table, with fixed position IMS) Attach one of the “L” shaped alignment blocks to the front linear rail (The alignment blocks and hardware came with the Table and should have been stored away during install). Tighten bolt as shown in order to secure the Transporter.

Figure 3. Tighten Alignment Block (Global PET/CT Table)

    3. The adjuster of the support tool A should be partially extended, about 3 cm, before supporting the Table.

      Figure 4. Table Support Tool

    4. Attach the support tool A to the left top frame, and turn the set screw to CCW to fix the support tool A.

      Figure 5. Support Tool 'A' Attachment (GT1700, GT2000 and Global PET/CT Table)

Figure 6. Support Tool 'A' Attachment (Global PET/CT Table, with fixed position IMS and GT1700V Table)

    5. Attach the other support tool A to the right top frame, and turn the set (hexagon) screw to CCW to fix the support tool A.
    6. Attach the support tool B to the support tool A using 4 screws.
    7. Power up the Table from the Service Switch Panel.
    8. Extend the adjusters by turning them so that the adjusters touch the floor, and lower the Table onto the support. Make sure that there is no oil on the floor and the support tool is installed perpendicular to the floor.

  6. Notice Image
    • notice
    • Confirm the following before removing power from Table:
    • - The floor under the support tool is not slippery.
    • - The support tool is installed perpendicular to floor.
    • - The support tool is firmly fixed to the table top frame by set screws.
    • - The support tool is securely holding the full weight of the Table.
  7. Remove power from Table by turning off 120VAC, Axial Drive and HVDC switches on Service Switch Panel.
  8. Cut any tie-wraps holding the oil hoses.
  9. Put the oil pan on the Table base.
  10. Disconnect the high-pressure hose from the hydraulic pump. A oil may spill out from the high-pressure hose. Drain oil in the high-pressure hose.
  11. Disconnect the high-pressure hose from the hydraulic cylinder.

    Figure 9. Hydraulic Hoses

  12. Connect the high-pressure hose, one end to the cylinder, and the other end to the pump, then tie-wrap the hose in place.

Figure 11. Hydraulic Hoses Configuration (Global PET/CT Table, with fixed position IMS)

Figure 12. Hydraulic Hoses Configuration (GT1700V Table)

  13. Power up the Table from the Service Switch Panel.
  14. Raise the Table to its highest position, and verify that the new high-pressure hose is securely connected, and a oil is not leaked out from the joint.
  15. Turn off all 3 switches (Axial Drive, HVDC, 120VAC).
  16. Remove the Table Support Tool from the Table.
  17. Table pump lubrication:
    1. Mark the position of pump upper cover on both side for re-installation.
    2. Disconnect the cable connectors of the tape switches and touch sensors.
    3. Remove six (6) screws holding the both sides of the pump upper cover, and remove the pump upper cover.

    4. Pry a lid up using a flat-head screw driver.

      Figure 14. Lid of Pump

    5. Pour approximately 100cc of the oil into the pump.
    6. Power up the Table from the Gantry Service Switch.
    7. Raise the Table as high as possible.
    8. Turn off the Table from the Gantry Service Switch.
    9. Repeat step Step 16.d through Step 16.h until Table height reaches mechanical Up-limit.
    10. Check the level of the oil by using a stick such as tie-wrap, specification is shown in illustration below.

      Figure 15. Check Oil Level

Finalization

  1. Secure any loose hoses with tie-wraps.
  2. Raise and lower the Table repeatedly to verify that the hoses do not catch or pull excessively.
  3. Turn off all 3 switches (Axial Drive, HVDC, 120VAC), and re-install the Table covers.
