Remove any objects from scan window area which may interfere with the rotating gantry.

caution

No personnel or patients should be in the area of the gantry while scanning without adequate radiation safety precautions being utilized.

Overview

Fast Calibration ensures consistent image quality and radiation exposure by correcting for channel gain differences in the detector, detector drift correction resulting from radiation damage, imperfection in the bowtie filter, and removal of bowtie shape from the data.

Procedure

Move table to longitudinal home position.
Click DAILY PREP.
Click FAST CALIBRATION.
Press START on SCIM/GSCB when it flashes.
Click QUIT in Daily Preparation window.
