(10HW02.10) Service Pack 1.0 Installation Procedure

Prerequisites

Overview

Service Pack 1.0 software for Optima CT660 with 10HW02.10 was released to improve error handling of “CC receive failed” error. This patch will not eliminate the occurrence of the CC receive failed error itself but minimize the customer impact by adding error recovery process.

Procedure

  1. Open a Unix Shell.
  2. Check software version currently loaded:
    1. {ctuser@hostname} swhwinfo
    2. System should reply with the following:

      10HW02.10.H40_P2_HS64_G_GMV

      note:

      System must be loaded with 10HW02.10 software before attempting to load Service Pack 1.0.

  3. If Application software is up, perform the following command.

    {ctuser@hostname} cleanMon

  4. In the Unix Shell, become root:
    1. {ctuser@hostname} su –
    2. Password: <password>
  5. Insert the Service Pack CD into DVD drive in the host.
  6. Perform the following steps to install the Service Pack CD:
    1. [root@hostname]# patch_install –c
    2. Input “y” to install the patch.
  7. After the patch installation process completes, verify that the Service Pack 1.0 loaded correctly:
    1. {root@hostname} swhwinfo
    2. System should reply with the following:

      10HW02.10_SP1-0-1.H40_P2_HS64_G_GMV

  8. Remove the Service Pack 1.0 CD from Host DVDROM drive.
  9. Reboot the system.
  10. End (No Flash Download is required.)
