Troubleshooting Information for Disabled Scan Resume Issue after Rotor Error
1 Applicability:
Optima CT660 with Rotor Control board firmware revision 6.51 or 7.25.
The same problem may happen on Revolution EVO, BrightSpeed, Optima CT540, HP60 and PET-CT systems
2 Problem Description:
Rotor Control board with firmware revision 6.51 or 7.25 has a bug as described below.
The occurrence of “(40-0114) Rotor not at speed error" induces the following generator errors.

(70-0501)DC bus out of range.

(70-0503)Inverter Gate Power Supply error.
-
(110-0904)HEMIT error detected by rotor board.
Typically, these errors happen several minutes after the Rotor not at speed error.
When this situation happens, scan cannot be continued by Resume button on ScanRx screen. Customer is required to perform system reboot for the recovery.
The same situation may happen when other rotor error, such as (40-0107) Rotor control Inverter permanent overcurrent, happens.
3 Resolution:
Rotor Control Board firmware version 7.28 fixed this issue.

Appendix: How to check Rotor Control board firmware version

System with Ball Bearing Tube (except for software version 15HW25.2):

Open a Unix shell.

Type: /usr/g/bin/jediTool

Enter 2 (Retrieve JEDI static IDs) in Enter command prompt.
”rotor_fw_id_no =“ indicates the firmware version of the Rotor Control board.

Exit the jediTool by entering 99 in Enter command prompt.

System with Liquid Bearing Tube or System with software version 15HW25.2:

Open a Unix shell.

Type: grep rotor_fw_id_no /usr/g/service/log/jedi_log/jedi_log_*.csv

Rotor firmware version is displayed as below.
Ex) 2015-08-06 08:40:19,19,ID,rotor_fw_id_no,7.25
