AGS replacement procedure for RoHS Detector module

1 Overview

The procedure explains about AGS (Air Guide Seal) replacement procedure when Non-RoHS Detector module is replaced with RoHS FRU. The following Part numbers are Non-RoHS Detector module (Part number is attached at the top side of detector module). If the module part number is not listed on the below, it’s RoHS Detector module.

• 5481498 or 5481498-4 MERC40 DETECTOR MODULE KIT CENTER

• 5481498-3 or 5481498-5 MERC40 DETECTOR MODULE KIT OUTER

• 5481499 or 5481499-2 MERC40 DETECTOR MODULE KIT REF27

The reason why they need to be replaced is that CUI cover dimension was changed and there is no compatibility of AGS. New AGS is provided within RoHS Detector module (AGS 5485021 2pcs)

2 Use case of AGS replacement

Figure 1 shows the AGS location in Merc40 Detector.

Refer to the Table 1 and determine when AGS shall be replaced at Detector module replacement.

The AGS replacement is needed only when Non-RoHS module is replaced with RoHS module.
