References to Illustrations, Drawings, and Pictures

Visual objects such as illustrations, digital pictures, figures, drawings and graphics are placed into a document to support the steps of the procedure. Visual objects can be an approximate representation of the device, it's function; or they may provide spatial orientation information. Use of visual objects, as a procedural guide only, is an invalid use of the document. You must read and understand the steps outlined to properly execute the procedure.
