Inverter Gate Command Test
Prerequisites
Overview
The objective of this procedure is to verify that the HV power inverter drive is working properly. No X-Ray is generated in this test. A summary of the procedure follows:

Disable HVDC

Procedure
- Perform a Scan Hardware Reset from the SYSTEM RESETS window found on the UTILITIES tab of the
Common Service Desktop.note:
If a scan hardware reset is not performed then the gate command test may generate false failures.
- Remove the gantry right side cover.
- Disable HVDC using service switch panel HVDC Enable switch.
- Launch the GENERATOR TOOL from the DIAGNOSTICS tab of the Common Service Desktop.
- Click the KV DIAGNOSTICS button, then select the GATE COMMAND TEST tool.
- Run the diagnostic. No X-Ray will actually be generated.
- Perform a Scan Hardware Reset from the SYSTEM RESETS window found on the UTILITIES tab of the
Common Service Desktop.note:
If a scan hardware reset is not performed then false failures may occur during scanning or during other diagnostic tests.
- Enable HVDC using the service switch panel HVDC Enable switch.
- Replace the gantry right side cover.
Finalization
- If this test fails, your system has an inverter problem.
- If the test passes, the sequence normally dictates that you will move to the Shorted Inverter Test
