DMPR Reference Image Configuration

Prerequisites

Overview

If reference image in DMPR series is transferred to PACS, some PACS viewers cannot display DMPR images correctly.

This procedure describes how to manually configure the saving of reference image in DMPR series.

1 Procedure

Procedure

  1. Open an Unix shell and type the following.
  2. Type: cd /usr/g/config ENTER
  3. Type: vi directVis.cfg ENTER
  4. Find the following line in directVis.cfg and move the cursor onto "Yes" by arrow key.

    saveRefImageInDMPR = "Yes"

  5. Press S key to become insert mode.
  6. Set "No" to saveRefImageInDMPR as shown below.

    saveRefImageInDMPR = "No"

  7. Press ESC key to exit from insert mode.
  8. Type: :wq! <colon - w - q - Exclamation Mark> to save the file and exit vi editor.
  9. Restart the system.

2 Finalization

Procedure

  1. New Patient and select one protocol.
  2. Create New Series - Axial.
  3. Change Scan Type to Helical and adjust start, end location to create more than 50 images.
  4. Turn on DMPR in Auto Apps in Recon tab and select at least one Batch protocol and turn on Auto Batch.
  5. Confirm and execute the scan.
  6. Wait for scan completion and DMPR startup.
    • Confirm that Batch process starts.
    • Confirm that Batch process does not save Reference Image (image #1).
  7. End Exam.
