Cradle Replacement

Prerequisites

Overview

Procedure

  1. Move the Cradle to OUT limit position.
  2. Remove a cradle grip by unscrewing 2 bolts.

  3. Slide a cradle rear cover away from the Gantry, and remove it.

  4. Remove a support bar by unscrewing a bolt.

  5. Unscrew 6 bolts, and remove the cradle.

    • Understand and follow the Safety Guidelines. The injury risk from removing and installing the heavy table cradle MUST be minimized by two engineers to safely complete these tasks.

    • The cradle is being installed with any shims to adjust the cradle position. So, when removing the cradle, write down the numbers of shims set under the cradle mounting bolt(s).
  6. Install the new cradle as follows:
    1. Remove two attachment rails from the defective cradle, and install them to the new cradle.

    2. At the rear of the cradle align cradle to the cradle carriage.
    3. Install the 6 cradle screws. Do not tighten yet.
    4. Verify that the clearance between both side guide rollers and the cradle is approximately same.

    5. Tighten the 6 cradle screws (Torque: 27.9Nm (285kgf-cm)).
    6. Install the support bar (1 bolt).
    7. Install the cradle rear cover, this cover has tabs on inside that must fit onto the edge at the back of the cradle provided for this cover.

    8. Install the cradle grip (2 bolts).

Finalization

  1. Verify that the Table moves in/out normally.
