Console Cover Removal and Installation

Prerequisites

Procedure Effectivity:

1 Side Covers

1.1 Removal Procedure

Procedure

  1. Loosen the two captive screws at the bottom of the side cover. See Figure 1.

  2. Rotate the bottom of the cover up and out.
  3. Lift cover off of cover hangers. See Figure 2.

1.2 Installation Procedure

Procedure

  1. Engage side cover on cover hangers.
  2. Swing cover into position.
  3. Tighten the two captive screws at the bottom of the side cover.

2 Front Cover

2.1 Removal Procedure

Procedure

  1. From the service desktop, shut down the system.
  2. Turn off console power.
  3. Loosen two captive screws at bottom of console. See Figure 3.

  4. Rotate bottom of cover outward and upward until it may be lifted free of the console at the top.

2.2 Installation Procedure

Procedure

  1. Engage top of cover with top front of console.
  2. Swing cover down into place.
  3. Tighten two captive screws at bottom of console.

3 Rear Cover

Procedure

  1. Loosen two captive screws at top of rear cover.

    (For GOC3 Console) See Figure 4.

  2. Tilt cover backward, so top moves away from console.
  3. Lift cover away, so that tabs disengage from bottom lip of opening.
  4. To reinstall, reverse the previous steps.
