JEDI Fan Diagnostics

The purpose of this procedure is to verify that the generator fans work properly. The procedure consists of removing the right cover and running the test.

1. Remove gantry right side cover.
2. Turn off the AXIAL ENABLE switch on the Service Switch Panel.
3. Safely rotate the gantry so that the inverter and tank fans are visible.
4. If desired, you may check that the PPC kV control board is working by looking through the holes on the cover and verifying that S0-S7 LEDs are lit successively or a combination of them blink.
5. Launch the GENERATOR TOOL.
6. Launch Fans Diagnostic tool.
7. Run test. The system will alternate between running the inverter fans and the tank fan.
8. Check to see that the fans are working. When a fan is running you can hear it spinning and feel the air movement at the front of the inverter or tank.
