STEP 9A: Inspect the Gantry Bearing Gap

1. Remove the scan window and the top & rear gantry covers. See Appendix
2. Use a 2.5 mm hex wrench to measure the gap at four locations 90 degrees apart from each other.
3. If the wrench easily fits in the gap without effort (left photo), the gap is out of specification. In the right photo, the gap is good.
