STEP 20A: Electrical Power Up

  • MAKE SURE YOU TURNED OFF, TAGGED AND LOCKED THE MAIN WALL POWER BEFORE YOU CHANGE TAPS. FAILURE TO DISCONNECT POWER AT MAIN INPUT MAY RESULT IN ELECTROCUTION.
  • TURN OFF WALL POWER TO CONNECT OR MOVE METER LEADS, OR TO REMOVE OR INSTALL COVERS. WEAR APPROPRIATE ELECTRICAL PPE.

  1. Line Transformer Settings: Verify that the tap connections on the PDU High Voltage Transformer match the line input voltage.

  2. Initial Switch and Breaker Settings: Set all PDU, gantry, console, and table circuit breakers to OFF. On the PDU control board, set SW 2 to the Auto-Off position. Turn OFF all system power switches and service switches at their subsystems. Install lexan safety covers on the PDU.

  3. Suite Emergency Off Check: Clear the Lockout-Tagout on the wall breaker (A1 Main Disconnect Panel), and turn on power to the PDU. Press the suite emergency off button on the PDU and verify it turns off wall power to the PDU. Repeat for all emergency off buttons (scan room, control room, etc).

  4. System Power-Up: Turn on power at the A1 breaker. Turn all system power switches and breakers (PDU, gantry power pan, gantry slip ring, table base power, console power).

  5. Sub-System Power-Up: Turn ON switch S3 (120VAC) in the table. Turn ON the 120VAC, the AXIAL DRIVE, and the HVDC on the gantry service switch panel. Push the Service Switch Panel reset button.

  6. Perform the axial enable switch test.

  7. Perform the rotation safety check.

  8. Perform System Emergency Stop Check. Test all gantry emergency stop buttons, the four table tape switches, and the emergency stop button on the console SCIM.
