System/Site Continuity and Ground Checks

Prerequisites

1 System Continuity (Mechanical Contractor) Procedure

Procedure

    • warning
    • USE AND FOLLOW LOCKOUT/TAGOUT PROCEDURES; LOCK OUT WALL POWER.
  1. Verify that less than 1 ohm of resistance exists between the following connections:

    • TURN OFF ALL PDU CIRCUIT BREAKERS.
  2. Set an ohmmeter to the lowest scale. Check between the following points for shorts to ground. Verify no continuity exists between the following points:
  3. Leave the metal cover off the PDU input power panel until you complete the checks in the next section.

2 Site Ground Continuity Check

Procedure

  1. Use an ohmmeter to verify the presence of less than 1.0 ohm of resistance between each of the following points:
  2. Install remaining covers on:

    • Gantry

    • Table

    • Raceway

    • Console

    • PDU

3 Finalization
