ORP Board Replacement

Prerequisites

Overview

Procedure

  1. Remove gantry covers as required.

    Refer to Parts Replacement > Gantry > Enclosure > (Cover Removal Procedure).

    • Always turn OFF the HVDC before the 120 VAC. Turning OFF 120 VAC power before HVDC power can result in equipment damage.
  2. Turn off all three switches (Axial Drive, HVDC, 120VAC) on the Service Control Panel.
  3. Position ORP at the 2 o'clock position.
  4. Put on the grounding wrist strap.
  5. Remove cabling from front of the ORP Assembly.
  6. Remove the two (2) large screws to remove the ORP Assembly.
  7. Remove the two (2) cover screws and remove cover.
  8. Remove seven (7) screws connecting the ORP board to the ORP Assembly.
  9. Remove the defective ORP board.
  10. Install the new ORP board in reverse order.

    Set the torque on the 6mm cap screws to 2.9 N-m (25.66 in-lbs)

Finalization

  1. Remove LOTO and Power-Up system.
  2. On the console, run Flash Download.
    note:

    Before powering ON the 120VAC Gantry power, open a shell and type the following to perform the FLASH download procedure so that ORP firmware is downloaded from the OC.

    cd /usr/g/fw [Enter]

    touch orpFtp [Enter]

  3. Perform System Scanning Test (located in Functional Checks > System folder).
