Fuse Box Switch Assembly Replacement

Prerequisites

Overview

Procedure

  1. Remove gantry covers as required.

    Refer to Parts Replacement > Gantry > Enclosure > (Cover Removal Procedure).

    • High Voltages present.
    • Use proper lockout/tagout procedures before replacing components. See safety menu of Service Document gui for appropriate procedures.
  2. Turn off all 3 switches (Axial Drive, HVDC, 120VAC). Remove all system power at the Main Disconnect panel and use proper Lockout/Tagout procedures.
  3. Rotate Fuse Box Assembly to 10 o’clock.
    • danger
    • CRUSH HAZARD.
    • UNEXPECTED GANTRY ROTATION CAN CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY.
    • Use the gantry rotation lock to lock out gantry rotation. See safety menu of Service Document gui for appropriate procedures.
  4. Lock the gantry in position, using the rotational lock.
  5. Remove the hex screws that secure Fuse Box Assembly.
  6. Slide fuse box up so that washers fit through aperture on fuse box, and then release the fuse box.
  7. Remove the DHCB (Detector Heater Control Board) mounted on the side of the fuse box.
  8. Cut any necessary tie-wraps.
  9. Disconnect all associated terminals and cables.
  10. Install new Fuse Box Assembly and reconnect terminals/cables.
  11. Reinstall the DHCB (Detector Heater Control Board).
  12. Reassemble gantry.
