Elevation Drive Servo Replacement

Procedure

  1. Raise the table to maximum height.
  2. Remove right Gantry Side Cover.
    • warning
    • POTENTIAL FOR SHOCK.
    • VOLTAGE MAY BE PRESENT.
    • USE PROPER LOCKOUT/TAGOUT PROCEDURES BEFORE REPLACING COMPONENTS.

    • Always turn OFF the HVDC before the 120 VAC. Turning OFF 120 VAC power before HVDC power can result in equipment damage.
  3. Remove power from table by turning off 120VAC, Axial Drive and HVDC switches on Service Switch Panel.
  4. Remove the right and left Rear Base Covers.
    note:

    Pay attention to the location of the wires on the defective Elevation Drive Servo, before you remove them. Restore the wires to their original configuration on the replacement Cradle Drive Servo.

  5. Disconnect the power, communication and ground connections on the Elevation Drive Servo.
  6. Remove the two screws connecting the Elevation Drive Servo to the Table Base.
  7. Remove the defective Drive Servo.
  8. Insert the new Drive Servo and screw back into place.
  9. Reconnect the power, communication and ground connections to Elevation Drive Servo.
  10. Return power back to the Table and replace Table and Gantry covers.

    • Always turn ON the 120 VAC before the HVDC. Turning ON HVDC power before 120 VAC power can result in equipment damage.
  2. Power up the Table from the Service Switch Panel.
  3. Using the service switches on the MTCB, move the Table up and down, and the Cradle in and out.
  4. Use the gantry control keys to move the Table up and down, and the Cradle in and out.

    When the Table functions properly, reinstall the Table Base Covers, the Side Panels and the Gantry Side Cover.
