Accessing the DAS Assembly

Prerequisites

Procedure

  1. Remove gantry right side cover, and turn OFF all three (3) service switches.
  2. Continue to open the gantry, by removing the following:

    • Mylar scan window

    • Left side cover

    • Top covers

    • Front cover

  3. Rotate gantry so that the DAS assembly is at the 12:00 position.
    • warning
    • Potential for personal injury.
    • Uncommanded Gantry movement can occur.
    • Use the rotational lock to lock the gantry in position.
  4. Lock the gantry in position, using the rotational locking pin.

    Refer to the “Rotational Locking Pin” section of Equipment Service - Gantry, located in the Safety tab of this publication.

  5. Put on wrist strap and use ESD precautions. Jack locations for grounding the wrist strap are near the left and right chassis mounting screws.
