AC Box Assembly Replacement
Prerequisites
Overview
This procedure shall be followed when replacing the AC Box Assembly.
1 Removal Procedure
Procedure
- Select one of the following methods to Power OFF the Operator
Console:
- If Applications are up, click on the Shut Down button and select Shutdown.
The Operator Console monitor will display a 'Power Down' message when it is acceptable to power OFF the Operator Console.
- If Applications are down, open a Unix Shell. Type: halt.
- If Applications are up, click on the Shut Down button and select Shutdown.
- Power OFF the console at the front panel switch.
- Apply LOTO. See Equipment Service - Lockout-Tagout-PPE procedure.
- Remove the side cover. Refer to Console Cover Removal and Installation
- Disconnect all cables attached to the AC Box. Make certain that all cables are properly labeled.
- Remove three screws that hold the AC Box to the console chassis.

- Remove four screws that hold the AC Box at rear of console panel.

- Pull out the old AC Box from the chassis.

2 Installation Procedure
Procedure
- Push the new AC box assembly into the OC chassis and screw its three screws.
- Tighten four screws at rear of console panel.
- Route the AC box power cable, and reconnect the wires of AC box power cable to the flanged inlet by screwing its three screws.
- Fix the flanged inlet to the OC chassis by screwing its three screws.
- Re-tie the AC box power cable with tie-wraps shown in
- Re-Connect all cable connectors to the AC box assembly.
3 Finalization
Reinstall the console side cover.
