5V Power Supply Replacement

Procedure

  1. Raise the table to maximum height.
  2. Remove right Gantry Side Cover.
    • warning
    • Potential for Shock.
    • Voltage may be present.
    • Use proper lockout/tagout procedures before replacing components.

    • Always turn OFF the HVDC before the 120 VAC. Turning OFF 120 VAC power before HVDC power can result in equipment damage.
  3. Remove power from table by turning off 120VAC, Axial Drive and HVDC switches on Service Switch Panel.
  4. Remove the right Table Base Cover.
  5. Remove the MTCB Cover to ease access to the 5V Power Supply.
    note:

    Pay attention to the locations of the wires on the defective power supply, before you move them. Restore the wires to their original configuration on the replacement power supply.

  6. Remove wires connected to the 5V Power Supply.
  7. Remove the two screws connecting the Power Supply Mounting Bracket to the base of the table.
  8. Remove the old power supply and the Mounting Bracket.
  9. Remove the three screws from the Mounting Bracket to release the old Power Supply.
  10. Screw the new 5V Power Supply into the Mounting Bracket.
  11. Screw the new Power Supply and Mounting Bracket into the base of the Table.
  12. Reconnect all wires back to the 5V Power Supply.
  13. Return the MTCB Cover to its original position.

    • Always turn ON the 120 VAC before the HVDC. Turning ON HVDC power before 120 VAC power can result in equipment damage.
  2. Power up the Table from the Service Switch Panel.
  3. Using the service switches on the MTCB, move the Table up and down, and the Cradle in and out.
  4. Use the gantry control keys to move the Table up and down, and the Cradle in and out.
  5. When the Table functions properly, reinstall the Table Base Covers, the Side Panels and the Gantry Side Cover.
